Happy New Year

Happy New Year!

I love the fresh start of a new year and the excitement of new possibilities and plans. But as we learned in 2020, you never know what a day might bring. As we look toward the opportunities and unknown circumstances of each new day, remember what God has done in the past.

I love looking back and observing and celebrating God’s faithfulness. While the last year definitely gave us all challenges and experiences we never imagined before, it also offered us moments of slower rhythms, quieter days, and obstacles we could have never anticipated.

Fresh Grace and Mercy

In 2021, let your heart relax a minute. Give yourself fresh grace and mercy. Or even better than that, receive the fresh grace and mercy God offers each day.

I can’t help but think ahead to a day when the heartaches, hard times, and unexpected struggles will finally be over. There is a day when these trying times will finally stop. We will gather around God’s throne and give Him every ounce of glory we have.

With hearts compelled to see, we will look on the very real Lamb of God, Himself. It’s breathtaking to consider. It’s heart thumping to think about. But it’s real.

As we start the new year with all the baggage we loaded up from last year, let’s start in the right place.

The throne.

“For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.” Revelation 7:17

One of my favorite verses is found in Revelation 7:17. It talks about a time in the future when we will live in the physical presence of our Savior. While we feast today on the bread from the Word of God, in that day we will be fed directly from our Savior. As we listen to the still small voice of God right now, we will hear audibly the voice of God then. When we look for God’s promises, provision, and peace right now, we will see God then.

With teary eyes we lift our heads and say, Thank you for that day. The day God will reach out His powerful hand and wipe the tears from our eyes.

Sweet Anticipation

As we step into 2021, look with sweet anticipation for all God is doing and has done. He is at work and He is not done with your life. Keep living. Keep looking to Him.

Happy New Year from a girl who sits all teary eyed and ready to see God do what He always does. Feeds us. Leads us. And wipes away every tear.

Love & Blessings
